We recommend replacing your Aprilaire humidifier pad annually. Water deposits build up on the old water panel and can lead water to leaks, bacterial growth or mold issues. Always use genuine Aprilaire water panels for proper fit.
Make sure and clean the plastic housing surrounding the humidifier pad thoroughly before installing the new pad. A vinegar and water mixture makes a good cleaning solution. Make sure the strainer on the solenoid valve inlet is clear and the small plastic orifice on the outlet is not clogged.
