If a rollout switch is tripping it typically indicates a very dangerous condition exists and the furnace needs to be inspected by a professional HVAC technician. This switch is designed to trip when it detects flue gas being directed inside the building instead of being exhausted out the flue. It detects problems such as a blocked flue, negative pressure inside the building or a damaged heat exchanger.
