This is a very handy item to have as a spare. If your draft inducer comes on and runs for a short while and then locks out reset it and watch and see if the ignitor glows. If not it is probably the problem. If it does glow and the flame lights and then locks out you probably need the flame sensor which is another handy part to have on hand.

“I found Shorty's on a YouTube video while troubleshooting my problem. Great video, so I called. Rick helped me confirm the problem and identify the correct part. Other sites wanted to sell me an upgrade that required a conversion kit (+$) and made me less comfortable to do the job myself.
Direct replacement Carrier part works great. No instructions, so pay attention and take pictures removing the old part. Reverse procedure.”

“The ignitor I received from Shorty's worked perfectly. In reading some reviews on some of the other web sites the customers shared that the wires were to close together to fit the mounting bracket properly. This ignitor's wires were the same as my old ignitor. One of the two ignitors I received was damaged during shipping. I contacted Shorty's and they immediately sent another ignitor to my home.
