Average change rate for this air filter is twice a year. When changing this air filter make sure the directional arrow on the end of the cartridge is pointing towards the air handler. The metal wire mesh on the outlet side of the filter is designed to prevent the filter media from being drawn into the air handler if the filter is allowed to get too dirty.
